Sheraton Hotels debuts in Udaipur

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts continues its expansion in Asia with the announcement to debut the Sheraton brand in Udaipur.

The Rockwood Palace Resort and Spa has been re-branded as Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa from August 1. It will be managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Five other Sheraton hotels will open in India over the next three years in Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Mysore and Amritsar.

The 240-room Sheraton Udaipur resort is located about three kilometers from the city centre. It has about 600 square meters of meeting space and three lush gardens, four restaurants and bars, a spa and an upcoming club floor.

India is a key area for Starwood Hotels’ expansion plans. The hotel giant remains on track with its plans to grow its portfolio in India by 60 percent by 2013.
