Meet, Greet, Learn

While participants at the 12th Hotelier India Awards learnt more about Kimirica Hunter International’s latest products, the brand’s key people also learnt about ongoing hospitality trends from attendees

A shift to biodegradable amenities has been catching on globally and that this trend is likely to become a mainstay. Increasingly, travellers are concerned about environmental issues and want to know if the hotels they are staying in follow ethical practices.

Hence, hoteliers are keen to adopt eco-friendly guestroom accessories that reduce plastic consumption. Keeping pace with this trend, Kimirica Hunter International has come up with Squeeze Dispenser programmes that use 90% less plastic than miniature bottles, are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Mohit Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of Kimirica Hunter (KH) International outlines how aesthetic looks and luxury feel of toiletries is equally important for guests who want to use the finest quality products made with a thoughtful approach. This creates an unmatched opportunity for hotels, something the brand underlined during its recent association with the 12th Hotelier India Awards.

How has your company pivoted its business strategies to keep pace with changing customer preferences?
Quality, integrity and commitment to excellence underpin everything created at KH, with innovation and sustainability at the heart of everything we do. We keep thorough tabs on feedback received from customers, examine market trends and improve ourselves as per the need of the hour.

Every insight shared by our clients is of paramount importance and we continue to upgrade ourselves every day. As an ardent supporter of ‘Make In India’, we try our best to source locally and reduce imports.

What messaging did you seek to send to the industry through the 12th Hotelier India Awards?
Firstly, and most importantly, I wanted to thank everyone for helping us revolutionise the hospitality industry, and contributing to our journey, knowingly and unknowingly. When we started out in 2012 as a startup manufacturing luxury hotel toiletries, approximately 90% of amenities in India were exported from China. However, hoteliers, like those present at the 12th Hotelier India Awards, welcomed and believed startups like us.

Since then, we have come a long way and are currently India’s largest manufacturer of luxury hotel toiletries, serving 22 countries and 1500 hotels globally. What’s more heart touching is that we could provide employment opportunities to our country people.

Today, with the industry’s continued support, we have been able to reduce 90% of hotel amenities imports to barely a percent; decrease carbon emissions and promote ‘Make In India’ initiatives. I am grateful for the industry’s support, which has motivated us to contribute the best we can.

How did the 12th Hotelier India Awards help you achieve your objectives?
This event felt more like a family function to us with its welcoming nature. It gave us a great chance to interact with our industry friends and see what’s happening worldwide.

Additionally, the intriguing display of our products at this event allowed everyone to check out our latest launches. We, too, got to know the ongoing hospitality trends, and received insightful information from guests and experts.

Overall, this was an amazing event that brought together hotel owners, marketers, decision-makers, and even supplier communities at one place. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we enjoyed coming there.
