FHRAI annual meet likely to head south

(NULL)

This year’s annual convention for members of the FHRAI could be heading to Chennai, if the FHRAI executive committee gets its wish.

At a meeting in Mumbai yesterday (September 15, 2009) the Committee made an official request for the South India Hotel and Restaurant Association (SIHRA) to host this year’s convention. The convention, usually held during August or September, has been delayed due to various internal differences.

Dr Sunil Gulati, honorary secretary at the FHRAI, said: “This year, it is the turn of South India chapter to hold the annual convention. They will be informing us within the next fortnight about their opinion in the matter.”

He added that previous conventions have been held in the month of November and said he was confident this year’s meet would go ahead.

The managing committee for SIHRA will be meeting on Saturday, September 19, to discuss the matter.

More soon.
