Hilton opens in Jaipur
Hilton Worldwide has launched Hilton Jaipur, an upscale, full-service hotel located in the heart of Jaipur in Rajasthan. This is Hilton’s fifth property in the country. Owned by Fruitful Buildcon Pvt Ltd and managed by Hilton Worldwide, Hilton Jaipur features rooms and suites that range in size from 360 to 650 sq ft, offering large living spaces and the complete range of facilities and services including signature Hilton Serenity Beds, ergonomic work areas and en suite four-fixture baths.
Mövenpick announces third property in India
A new 167-room hotel in the southern port city of Kochi, will increase Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio in India to three properties, including the Mövenpick Hotel Bangalore and the under-development spa resort in Dharamshala. The Kochi property will be a contemporary hotel with futuristic design elements. Among the six outlets count a speciality Keralite restaurant and a Pan-Asian dining venue, as well as a sky lounge bar and a modern pub.The hotel is scheduled to open towards the end of 2014.
Lemon Tree debuts in a new avatar
Lemon Tree Hotels has opened its new hotel in Whitefield, Bengaluru. Refurbished and renovated into a fresh and vibrant avtaar, this latest addition to Lemon Tree makes it the group’s third hotel in Bengaluru. Lemon Tree Hotels had earlier announced the acquisition of the erstwhile Clarion Hotel in Whitefield, Bengaluru.
Fleur Hotels, the JV partnership between Lemon Tree Hotels and Dutch pension fund manager APG acquired this property last year and rebranded it as a Lemon Tree Hotel. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment and is now another refreshing Lemon Tree.
Berggruen Hotels opens two more properties
Berggruen Hotels recently opened two hotels at Shirdi and Ajmer with room inventories of 89 and 87 rooms. Going forward the chain is looking to open hotels at Kochi, Vizag and Jaipur with room inventories of 154, 110 and 75 rooms, respectively. With the opening of all above mentioned properties Berggruen’s total strength of operating hotels will stand at 19 with an overall inventory of about 1800 rooms and overall strength of 35 hotels including the ones under development.
