Svami, a homegrown maker of craft tonics, has launched an exclusive range of non-alcoholic mixers for three of Moet Hennessy’s spirit brands. These bespoke mixers have been specially crafted to be paired with Belvedere, Glenmorangie and Hennessy, building on the evolving taste profile of the Indian consumer to create a high-quality drinking experience aimed at enhancing at-home consumption.
With consumer behaviour and consumption patterns rapidly shifting given the impact of the pandemic and the evolution of a new channel; ‘home-premise’, consumers are looking to elevate their at-home drinking experience with simple solutions.
Sophia Sinha, Head of Marketing, Moët Hennessy India said, “The home premise channel, as I have begun to call it, is here to stay, and so are the pantry mixologists. The consumer insight of creating cocktails at home in three easy steps with consistent taste is our endeavor for this activation. Svami is the right partner to help us bring this easy cocktailing experience to consumers, at home in their hands.”
“For a home-grown brand like Svami, this is an exciting collaboration of creating bespoke products for a global powerhouse like Moet Hennessy India. With our synergies aligned, the common goal from the very beginning has been to offer consumers a world class cocktail experience at home with as little effort as possible. Svami stands for high quality mixers, masterfully formulated at our newly open factory in Maharashtra” said Aneesh Bhasin, Co-Founder, Svami Drinks.
Designed and inspired by India and its indigenous flavours – Pomelo ‘chakotras’ (Belvedere); Tangerines santras (Glenmorangie); Ginger ‘Adrak’, Cinnamon daal cheeni ’ and hint of Black Peppers ‘Kaali Mirch’ (Hennessy) – the curated mixers pair perfectly with each spirit, while allowing the distinct character of each brand to shine through.
Speaking about the flavour profiles, Shehan Minocher, Brand Ambassador, Moet Hennessy India said, “While crafting the flavours of the mixers the intention was to really highlight the characteristic of our spirits while adding a new dimension to a simple highball. The drinks are designed to be contemporary, crisp, and refreshing. Using all-natural indigenous flavours and ingredients that are ‘glocal’ was imperative to the flavour development.”
For Belvedere Vodka, the company aimed to twist a classic vodka soda by complementing the savoury notes of Belvedere Vodka with the Pomelo citrus. To reflect the brand ethos further the mixer contains is a zero-sugar product and as a result – less than 1 calorie per 100 ml.
With Glenmorangie The Original, it sought to play on the signature aromas of the whisky while creating a bright and citrus forward highball using Tangerines or ‘Santras’ as they are locally known.“When crafting the ideal mixer for Hennessy Very Special, we aimed to layer new dimensions on a classic combination of Hennessy Very Special – by adding real cinnamon, black pepper, and limes,” Minocher added.
These innovative flavours crafted collaboratively between Moët Hennessy India and Svami are exclusive to this partnership. With all-natural flavouring that are based on ‘glocal’ indigenous ingredients, these three mixers include, Pomelo Spritz – A crisp soda made with all-natural Pomelo flavouring and zero sugar to be consumed exclusively with Belvedere Pure, the Tangerine Highball – A citrus forward soda made with all-natural Tangerine flavouring to be consumed exclusively with Glenmorangie Original and Spiced Ginger Ale – a Ginger Ale made with all-natural Ginger flavouring spiced with Cinnamon and a touch of Black Pepper to be consumed exclusively with Hennessy Very Special.
