Taj West End, Bengaluru, the legendary 133-year-old property in the garden city was recently honored as the “Leading Luxury Hotel/ Resort” by South Asian Travel Awards (SATA), the region’s top and most prestigious travel and hospitality awarding body.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Somnath Mukherjee, Area Director, Karnataka & General Manager, Taj West End, Bengaluru said, “We are humbled by the recognition. It is an absolute honour and a true testament to the efforts and dedication of the team over the years and our patrons love, which make Taj West End, Bengaluru an icon in the industry. It is with much pride and joy that we accept the awards.”
The celebration was held virtually and about 52 categories across Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Brands, Properties and Businesses competed from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, in addition to Visitors Choice Awards and Special Recognition Awards.
The 133-year-old property was also awarded “Leading Heritage Hotel/ Resort” by SATA under silver category.
