Indian Ministry of Tourism has issued clarity on speculative news that is making rounds on social media platforms. A news report claiming that all the hotels and restaurants will remain closed till October 15 due to coronavirus was circulated across social media platforms.
However, there were no such announcements made by concerned authorities. The ministry took to twitter and clarified that there has been no such announcements made by the authorities and the given news was fake.

After this, another letter in the name of Ministry of Tourism started making rounds on social media yet again claiming that the government has asked hotels/restaurants to remain shut till October 15. As the news started creating panic in the tourism sector, the government decided to issue a formal clarification note.

To deal with the situation, the Ministry has also lodged an FIR with the Mumbai Cyber Police cell.
