Cordelia Cruises is setting sail from Chennai this summer with domestic and international itineraries scheduled between June and August 2025. At the heart of this season’s deployment are two 10-night Southeast Asia cruises — one-way sailings between Chennai and Singapore — offering Indian travellers the opportunity to cruise across three countries on a single sailing, with port calls in Phuket (Thailand), Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Singapore.
New international sailings connect India to Southeast Asia and Sri Lanka
Departing July 19, 2025, the eastbound itinerary sails from Chennai to Singapore, while the westbound return sailing on July 29, 2025, retraces the route back to Indian shores. These extended cruises offer a port-rich itinerary, perfectly balancing sea days and destination immersion, marking a significant milestone in Cordelia’s expansion into longer-haul cruising.
Also part of the international sailings is a 5-night cruise to Sri Lanka, calling on the culturally rich ports of Hambantota, Trincomalee, and Jaffna. Departing on August 11 and 18, this itinerary brings guests closer to Sri Lanka’s diverse heritage, untouched coastlines, and spiritual landmarks — all with the ease of a single cruise booking.
Domestic cruises designed for families and first-time travellers
Domestic itineraries feature a mix of 2-night weekend cruises and extended 5-night cruises, with routes including Visakhapatnam, Puducherry, and a scenic one-way journey from Chennai to Mumbai via Kochi. Designed with families and first-time cruisers in mind, these sailings offer a memorable experience that combines relaxation, destination exploration, and curated onboard entertainment.
Leadership insights on new sailings
“We know that families and new cruisers are looking for travel that’s convenient, comfortable, and enriching,” said Jurgen Bailom, President and CEO of Waterways Leisure Tourism Pvt Ltd. “Our Chennai sailings bring international and domestic destinations closer than ever — with everything taken care of onboard.
