Founded by artist Gunjan Shrivastava, Saffron & Mishri is a passion project with a simple mission; to help people rediscover their soul through the flavors, textures, and stories of Indian mithais. The newly launched brand invites customers to experience the essence of mithai, where heritage meets soul in every bite.
Immersive Café Experiences
Each Saffron & Mishri café is a visual and sensory delight, with interiors inspired by traditional Indian crafts like Banarasi and Kantha. The Powai outlet offers an Instagram-worthy experience where customers can enjoy mithai and chaat under elegant skylights.
The Mahalakshmi Experience Center features an interactive ‘Make Your Own Memories’ (MYOM) counter, allowing visitors to join mithai-making workshops. This outlet also has a transparent, walk-in kitchen concept, giving customers a glimpse into the craftsmanship behind each mithai. The café also boasts an open-air deck for a relaxed dining experience, and food scientists ensure consistent taste and quality.

Gunjan Shrivastava, Founder of Saffron & Mishri, shares, “During my travels across India, I discovered a treasure trove of mithai that carried unique cultural stories. I have rediscovered recipes and perfected traditional techniques so customers can indulge in authentic flavors. We also observed a significant void in today’s mithai industry; authenticity, hygiene, and transparency in sourcing are often overlooked.
