Forestry Innovation Consulting India (FII India), also known as Canadian Wood in India, participated in the IndiaWood 2025 exhibition in Delhi NCR. Held from March 6th to 9th at the India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML), Greater Noida, the expo displayed Canadian Wood’s responsibly sourced timber applications for high-end interior and exterior use.
The Booth: A Showcase of Canadian Wood
Canadian Wood’s booth featured 160 square meter island space with a three-side open design concept. The design captivated attendees, highlighting the versatility of five distinct species sourced from B.C., Canada: Douglas-fir, Western Hemlock, Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, and Spruce-Pine-Fir (SPF). The booth’s focus was on high-end luxury home interior and outdoor spaces, demonstrating the strength, aesthetics, and durability of Canadian Wood.

The booth featured several key applications, including:
- Pergolas and Outdoor Decking: Showcasing the durability and aesthetic appeal of Canadian-Wood for outdoor living.
- Interior Spaces: With furniture for the bedroom, living room, and dining room demonstrating the elegance of Canadian-Wood in luxury home interiors.
- Ceiling Rafters: Highlighting the structural integrity and design possibilities of B.C. species.
- Doors, Windows, and Frames: Demonstrating the elegance and functionality of architectural elements made from sustainable wood.
Synergy with Indian Craftsmanship
Canadian Wood collaborated with leading Indian manufacturers, such as Sumitra Woodcraft, Buildkraft India, and Artius Interior Products, to showcase their craftsmanship using B.C. species. This partnership highlighted the synergy between Canadian timber and Indian craftsmanship.

Canadian Wood’s Contribution to Wood+ in Architecture and Design (WAD)
During the IndiaWood show, Pranesh Chhibber, Country Director, and Dr Jimmy Thomas, Assistant Director, Technical Services, participated as speakers at the Wood+ in Architecture and Design (WAD) conference. Their involvement further emphasized Canadian-Wood’s commitment to promoting sustainable wood sourcing and its role in the growing Indian market.
