Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels (ASPHL) has incorporated sustainable practices such as the utilization of renewable energy sources, optimized energy usage, waste recycling and reduction programs, and water conservation measures, all of which have actively contributed to mitigating environmental impact.
Transition to Renewable and Efficient Technologies
ASPHL is currently adopting and implementing environmentally friendly green technologies that utilize renewable, emission-free, and clean energy sources like wind to meet electrical consumption needs.
They have transitioned to 100% LED light fixtures and are upgrading to energy-efficient equipment. Two hotels of ASPHL are already operating on 100% green energy, with all other hotels expected to be energy neutral by 2027.
Elimination of Single Use Plastics and Water Conservation
ASPHL is dedicated to achieving a 100% single-use plastic-free environment by adopting biodegradable alternatives. Annually, we eliminate 19 lakh plastic units across the group, including bottles, cutlery, takeaway containers, straws, stirrers, and bags. They have replaced plastic water bottles with glass water bottles, saving 12 lakh plastic bottles per year.
Partnership with Tata Power and EV Infrastructure
ASPHL has partnered with Tata Power to introduce EV infrastructure across our hotels Pan India, and the transition to heat pumps and an EV fleet has led to savings of 4.50 lakh liters of diesel annually. By 2027, all hotels will operate with a fully electric fleet, further reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
