ITC Maurya unveils ‘Eco Noel’ aligning Christmas with responsible luxury

This Christmas, ITC Maurya’s Eco Noël tree and artistic gingerbread display embody the spirit of responsible luxury and ecological stewardship.

This holiday season, ‘ECO NOËL’, the Christmas Tree at ITC Maurya symbolizes ‘ecology’ and ‘Christmas’. It truly marries the festive spirit with our commitment towards sustainability and the ethos of Responsible Luxury. Assembled over 350 ceaseless man hours, ECO NOËL, the Christmas tree in the center of Chaitya Lobby is crafted entirely from 100% eco-sustainable materials. Each embellishment sourced from within the hotel, be it the coconut shells, jute, coir ropes, broom twigs, and yarn, completed with a dazzling star at the top.

Speaking on the concept behind the tree, Amaan Kidwai, Area Manager (North Luxury ITC Hotels) and General Manager, ITC  Maurya, “The Eco Noel Christmas Tree at ITC Maurya imbibes Responsible Luxury, reminding us that even in merry-making, we can make choices that honour the planet. Our team worked tirelessly for days, weaving these humble materials into a masterpiece, celebrating the principles of recycling. Let this season inspire us all to rejoice mindfully through sustainable resourcing.”

Overall, this year’s Christmas Tree stands for a conscious message of environmental stewardship built into every aspect of the hotel’s operations at ITC Maurya New Delhi. Bringing the guiding principle of ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’, our ECO NOËL, beautifully embodies a story of creativity, teamwork and WelcomEnviron.

Our Pastry Masters at ITC Maurya have also created an artistic gingerbread display – a miniature replica of the architecture of the hotel, rising up in steps in the style of a Buddhist stupa. There are also carefully decked out icing filigree along the cookie edges and showcase our iconic food and beverage brands of the hotel sugar glinting from every angle.

Here’s to merry moments, social footprint and a touch of sustainable magic!
