Marking the onset of the festive season, IHCL’s iconic brand Taj recently hosted the Grand Cake Mixing Ceremony at its hotels in Bengaluru. Honouring Taj’s 120-year legacy, Taj West End, Taj MG Road, Taj Bangalore, and Taj Yeshwantpur came together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

Rooted in 17th-century European Christmas customs, the event brought together guests, patrons, and chefs for a delightful celebration of heritage and community. Adorned in festive aprons, gloves, and chef hats, guests joined the lively festivities, blending a rich medley of ingredients like raisins, prunes, dates, and almonds, symbolizing seasonal abundance. The beautifully themed holiday setup added to the festive atmosphere, elevating the joyous celebrations.
Adding to the cheer, a curated afternoon tea menu was served, featuring Christmas-inspired delicacies such as ginger biscuits, mulled wine, and hot chocolate. Chefs guided participants through the tradition, sharing its historical significance.
The mixed batter will be baked into festive cakes, which will be served during Christmas across Taj hotels in Bengaluru.
