Bhiwandi welcomes IHCL’s new addition

The 151-key Ginger Bhiwandi, MMR, is located along the Mumbai-Nashik Highway

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed its seventh Ginger Hotel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. This greenfield project, embodying Ginger’s lean luxe design philosophy, is located along the Mumbai-Nashik Highway.

The 151-key Ginger Bhiwandi, MMR, will feature the brand’s signature all-day diner, Qmin, which offers a variety of delectable cuisines. The hotel will also house a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a swimming pool, and versatile event spaces, including a 2,000-square-foot banquet hall with meeting rooms and pre-function areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President- Real Estate and Development, stated, “Bhiwandi, a thriving commercial hub, has witnessed significant growth in the warehousing and logistics sector. The signing of Ginger Bhiwandi is in line with our commitment to expanding our footprint in emerging micro markets. We are delighted to partner with RNP Warehousing and Logistics Pvt Ltd on this project.”

Bhiwandi, located in the Thane district of Maharashtra, is a crucial part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. In recent years, given its proximity to the Nhava Sheva port, Bhiwandi has become one of the largest warehousing and logistics hubs in Asia.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 37 hotels in Maharashtra, including 13 under development.
