Amit Kumar Lala is the new Director of Operations at The Westin Chennai Velachery. Throughout his career spanning 19 years, he has worked with some of the finest hotel chains in India, such as Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels, Taj Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Palace, and ITC Hotels. He is an alumnus of IIAS Siliguri and has graduated from Calcutta University.
Amit is known for his dynamic leadership and strategic thinking in overall hotel operations. He has maintained the highest level of guest satisfaction and introduced innovative service designs and personalised amenities to enhance experiences.
His expertise includes managing substantial budgets and overseeing revenue while ensuring strong profit margins. Amit champions teamwork and employee engagement, along with leading regular operations and enhancing performance within the team to cultivate talent.
