This Marriott property will redefine luxury in India

Marriott and Prestige unite to bring The EDITION in Mumbai, the first in South Asia

Marriott International Inc signed an agreement with Prestige Falcon Realty Ventures Private Limited to open The Mumbai EDITION. Expected to debut in 2028, The Mumbai EDITION will mark the brand’s first property in India, establishing a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region. Situated along a prime arterial road within the prestigious Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), The Mumbai EDITION will offer an unparalleled location in the heart of one of Mumbai’s most coveted business districts. Surrounded by 12 million square feet of thriving commercial space, the hotel will stand at the nexus of commerce and culture. Guests will find themselves just moments away from the iconic Jio World Convention Centre, Jio Gardens—renowned for its vibrant music festivals and exclusive events—and a variety of luxury retail destinations, ensuring convenience and connectivity at every turn.

“We look forward to bringing the EDITION flair to the vibrant metropolis of Mumbai, where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. The signing highlights our commitment to strengthening the presence of our luxury portfolio in India while demonstrating to guests the continued demand for luxury accommodations and experiences. We will continue to strategically expand our footprint and match brands with complementary destinations to cater to the ever-evolving guest demands. We are excited to team up once again with Prestige Falcon Realty Ventures Private Limited to bring this vision to life,” commented Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International.

Irfan Razack, Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Group, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Marriott International once again in redefining luxury hospitality in India. This milestone marks the arrival of the EDITION brand in South Asia, reflecting our commitment to delivering excellent hospitality across brand propositions. With its vibrant energy and contemporary flair, The EDITION accurately captures the innovative spirit that defines Prestige Group. The Mumbai EDITION comes with the promise of a one-of-a-kind experience in Mumbai, offering unforgettable new-age hospitality at its finest.”

The Mumbai EDITION, rooted in the brand’s strong sense of refined simplicity and style, is slated to open with 182 luxurious guest rooms, including one penthouse suite, a lively lobby bar, a rooftop terrace with a pool, an expansive spa and wellness facility, a fitness centre, and multiple bars and restaurants. Plans include 1,385 square metres of versatile meeting and banquet space, elegantly designed to accommodate a range of events, from corporate meetings to intimate social celebrations. Bathed in natural light, with customisable layouts, the venues will be enhanced by state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and sophisticated décor, reflecting the hotel’s refined aesthetic.

The property will join the EDITION brand, a collection of individualised hotels known for seamlessly balancing great design and true innovation to deliver a luxury lifestyle experience. EDITION Hotels’ commitment to uncompromising quality, true originality, and impeccable modern service continues to challenge traditional perceptions of luxury and entrench the brand’s position as an industry leader. Every EDITION hotel is unique, reflecting the social and cultural milieu of the time and place of its creation. The result will offer the best of dining and entertainment, modern luxury services, and amenities ‘all under one roof’. EDITION Hotels redefines the concept of luxury by offering an unexpected collection of one-of-a-kind hotels.
