Bakery Business 2016 to see increased participation of global brands

The 11th edition of Bakery Business 2016 will see an increased participation of international companies as exhibitors. Over 200 companies will exhibit their products and services at the event, which will be held from 1st to 3rd December, 2016 at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.

The event’s organisers claimed that this is the biggest trade fair in India for the bakery, pastry and chocolate industries, and it has been witnessing a year-on-year increase of 30 per cent in visitor turnout. They added that over 10,000 industry professionals from hotels, high-street bakery cafes, patisseries and chocolate shops, have already evinced interest in it.

This year, the exhibition will focus on innovations in manufacturing, technology, packaging, frozen dough concepts and ingredient sourcing that will benefit kitchens in hotels, restaurants and cafes. While the past editions had experts leading sessions on topics such as fuel efficiency and food safety regulations, key highlights at the event this year will include seminars on franchising and ERP solutions in the bakery industry.

At the ‘Live Bakery Theatre’, chefs like Anil Rohira, former World Pastry Champion; celebrity chef Ajay Chopra and Bruno Pastorelli, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pâtissier, Chocolatier, Consultant International will demonstrate recipes and innovative food concepts. Additionally, the India Bakery and Pastry Challenge (IBPC) will see bakery and pastry chefs display their culinary skills.
