Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) signed its fifth Ginger-branded hotel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region of Thane, Maharashtra. This greenfield project embodies Ginger’s lean luxe design philosophy, offering guests the perfect blend of work and leisure in vibrant, contemporary spaces.
Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said, “The signing of our fifth Ginger hotel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) in Thane aligns with IHCL’s strategic vision of expanding its presence in key urban centres in India. Thane, with its rapid development, has emerged as a residential and commercial hub in Maharashtra. We are delighted to collaborate with Jagdale Infrastructure Private Limited on this new hotel.”
The 200-key Ginger Thane is located in the heart of the business district, close to retail centres. The hotel features Qmin, the signature all-day diner presenting a delightful array of global and local favourites, along with a bar. Additionally, it will offer modern amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a 2000-square-foot banquet hall, and well-equipped meeting rooms.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 35 hotels, including 12 under development in Maharashtra.
