The Westin Mumbai, Garden City appointed Viral Jasani as director of human resources. Viral brings over 18 years of rich and extensive experience in human resource management (HRM) across diverse regions, skills, disciplines, levels, and domains.
Viral is recognized as an achievement-driven senior HR professional with a focus on optimal resource utilization. He has directed teams for manpower planning, sourcing, structuring and restructuring. His strategic mindset and proficiency in anticipating HR needs have contributed to the successful formulation and implementation of new policies aligned with long-term business objectives.
He was recognized among the TOP 100 Minds in the Hospitality Industry for the year 2020 and was awarded Best Talent Acquisition – Asia Pacific at the Marriott Asia Pacific HR Conference in 2014. He also led the pre-opening team for Courtyard by Marriott, Pune, Chakan.
Viral holds a Bachelor’s in Hotel and Hospitality Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai.
He has worked on various assignments at Marriott International (Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan, Marriott Area Office – South Asia, Sheraton Grand Pune, Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway). Prior to joining Marriott in 2013, Viral held positions at the Lalit Mumbai, HMS Host, the Indian Hotels Company Ltd (Taj Hotels), and the Resort.
