Head to Ummrao for a flavour of Kashmir

The Kashmiri Food Festival at Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport promises to captivate the taste buds of food enthusiasts and transport them to the picturesque valleys of Kashmir

Ummrao Restaurant, situated within Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport brought in an exotic array of flavors of Kashmir “Nazakat-e-Wazwan.” To elevate this unique culinary experience, the restaurant partnered with Sarposh, a renowned restaurant from Bengaluru, hosting a pop-up within their premises.

The menu featured a variety of succulent meat preparations and delightful vegetarian offerings. The event started with the aromatic Kashmiri Kahwa which is a classic Kashmiri welcome drink made of honey, almonds and tea leaves.

Their non-veg main course included Rogan Josh, a delectable lamb preparation simmered in rich aromatic spices. They also has a traditional Kashmiri delicacy made with succulent meatballs cooked in a velvety yogurt-based gravy and Tabak Maaz, a delectable dish of tenderized lamb ribs seasoned with Kashmiri spices and cooked to perfection.

The vegetarian options included an aromatic array of Yakhni Pulao, a flavorful rice dish cooked in a yogurt-based broth, creamy and flavorful Dum Aloo, prepared with tender baby potatoes cooked in a blend of spices and yogurt along with lotus stem fritters for a crisp texture onto the pallet.

The dinner was complimented with cocktails, mocktails and a unique Godwan single malt for tasting. The iconic slow cooked sweet pudding – Phirni – was the desert for the night.

Guests can experience the flavours of Kashmir from 6th July to 16th July at the hotel.
