“I am glad to be associated with the Hotelier India Awards since 2017 when I was nominated in the top 5 for ‘Best Food and Beverage Manager – Economy to Budget’ for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018. It truly is the Oscars for the Hotel Industry and winning it gives a boost to any person associated with hospitality,” says Aroop Chatterjee, who started his career with The Oberois with the pre-opening of Amarvilas Agra, after graduating from Institute of Hotel Management (Kovalam) in 2000.
He then opened the Vanyavilas and Trident Gurgaon, before moving to Marriott’s with Rennaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre. Chatterjee has also worked with brands that include Hyatt and Taj.
“Having to lead a new team with a new brand and hotel, post COVID, was exciting and challenging,” says Chatterjee.
