APCA announces 9-month culinary programme

The Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts (APCA) has started its new session for the Culinary Diploma Programme. The course is aimed at those keen to work as a cuisine chef in hotels, restaurants or even start their own entrepreneurial outlet.

The session commenced from 28th June in Bangalore, and will begin on 2nd August in Gurugram and 13th September in Mumbai. Earlier, the teaching facilities for this programme were only available in Bangalore and Mumbai APCA centers. The institute has now started it at its Gurugram center as well. 

Experienced chefs will conduct the classes that primarily focus on hands-on training. The curriculum includes basic topics like principles of cooking, knife skill, cutting techniques, preparation of soups, grain and Pasta etc. it will also cover classical French, Italian and Indian cuisines in addition to an insight into molecular gastronomy, etc. 

The course will cover 1440 hours of hands-on training with a maximum of 16 students per batch. APCA claimed that students will receive an internationally recognised diploma by City & Guilds UK and Skill India. The institute will also provide internship and placement with branded hotels and leading bakery chains.

Talking about this programme, Chef Niklesh Sharma, Founder of APCA said, “Earlier, students would travel to Europe for such training programmes. Now that we will bring expert faculty from there, they will not only be trained at par with foreign institutes but also save 60% of their total educational cost.” The fee structure of the entire course is INR 6,00,000, exclusive of GST.
