Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar celebrates its 5th anniversary

In conversation with Namit Vijh, General Manager, Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar where he shares insights on his wonderful hospitality journey with the group, his gratitude towards his team, and the plans for the hotel

1. First of all, congratulations on completing 5 years in the Hospitality industry! As a GM, how do you feel about the same?

The Journey has been fantastic so far with the hotel becoming a gateway destination to the city of Gurugram. The hotel started operations as a Country Inn in 2011 and was rebranded as Radisson in 2017. We are also the flagship hotel of Radisson and have almost touched the 2019 figures in 2022. We are looking at exceeding these numbers with corporates travelling back and increasing ADRs. We have added 20,000 sq ft of catering spaces for weddings, socials and events making it a midway destination between Delhi and Gurugram.

2. What are the various delicacies in the F&B sector offered during this celebration?

Executive Chef Vikramjit Singh Ahluwalia has conjured a magical, special anniversary menu at the all day dining restaurant Cafe NH 8, where there is something for each palate. Indulge in curried noodle Arancini, Broccoli and Asparagus soup with parmesan cheese; Beetroot and coconut crunchy mesclun salad, Shikampuri Bhutte ke Kebab; Kalmi Kabab and succulent delights like Keema Panner ka Dholum, Pindi Cholay with Herbs Kulcha , NH-8 DAL; Murgh Dum Biryani and Coconut Malai.

Little Patisserie, the hotel’s on-site deli shop is also offering a bumper 55% off on all its delicious delicacies this entire month.

3. How do you wish to gratify your team for these wonderful years?

We have a wonderful team of young talented professionals who have put in their heart and soul in making these 5 years truly amazing. We had a grand celebration on 4th October when we officially turned 5 and had our hotel team join corporates, influencers, bloggers and media at the event. We also had Zubin Saxena, Managing Director Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia and hotel ownership Rajesh Bhasin Managing Director, Arpit Projects Ltd. join us for the cake cutting. In addition we are running special anniversary menus at our inhouse staff cafeteria.

4. Are there any staycation offers included in the same?

Yes we have special anniversary staycation packages, including a 1 night stay on double occupancy with turndown amenities and a scrumptious breakfast buffet.

5. With the upcoming operations of the hotel, Do you wish to change/modify any aspects?

We have recently added 20,000 sq ft of catering spaces for weddings, socials and events making it a midway destination between Delhi and Gurugram seeing the rise in demand.

6. Where do you see yourself taking the hotel in the next 3-5 years?

Our goal is to be the market leader and number 1 hotel amongst our contemporaries. The focus remains on increasing ADR and F&B business of the Hotel. We foresee a lot of corporate business, MICE and social events for the upcoming year.
