A highly commercial hotelier, Sumit Kumar, General Manager, Hyatt Pune begin his journey at Hyatt began in Chicago, USA with extensive training and orientation. As a General Manager, he have more than 9 years of experience with Hyatt at Hampi, Gurgaon and Pune.
He was a part of the core team to introduce and launch the brand “Hyatt Place” in India. In addition to that, he had launched 2 hotels as General Manager and I mentored the pre-opening teams at 3 other luxury hotels and resorts. He has over two decades of luxury and upscale lifestyle hotel experience with some of the finest resorts and luxury hotels in Dubai, Muscat and multiple cities in India.
As a successful hotelier, he have proven results in building and sustaining high-performance teams to deliver against the needs of guests and employees with significant productivity and profitability growth. Having worked for over a decade in the leadership role at new hotel development projects and property refurbishment, He can relate to the demands of the luxury and upscale hotels, especially in regards to quality, service, and value.
Mr Kumar opines, “I would say, Hyatt Pune is a little oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle. Our hotel USP is built around the wellness and verdure one can experience in the midst of the city. - As a General Manager, what is your take on the hotel’s changing trends after the pandemic?
The pandemic was a testing time for the hospitality industry and everyone in totality. It is now behind us and we look forward to continuing to deliver.
