Abhimanyu Jakhar is a career driven individual, who after completing his mechanical engineering, has already started off in the hospitality industry as a founding partner at Diablo, a resto-bar in South Bombay.
As a restaurateur, he is a passionate visionary with an aspirational entrepreneurial drive. An entrepreneur from a very early age itself, he has taken charge of his future by having the ability to ideate and visualise concepts completely unheard of, and most importantly, bring them to reality. He also launched dailyturf, which facilitated football turfs in metropolitan cities with limited access to accommodate sizeable fields.
While pursuing his engineering, in 2015 he also started with furnish24.com, a furnishing rental website which was an experimental field that flourished in its running, after which he notably moved onto greater things and completely focused on the hospitality industry.
He shares with us some insights on his hospitality journey, the establishment of Diablo and the ever-changing food and beverage industry.

I plan to expand aggressively, not only in my present businesses but also in different verticals where I can touch and influence the lives of the maximum number of people associated with them.
Abhimanyu Jakhar, owner and partner at Diablo, Mumbai.
- Can you give us a brief in the change in pattern of food and beverage industry?
Food and beverages industry has always been changing at a pace but one change in this pattern that I realise is people have grown an appetite for culinary experiences rather than basic food and drinks. What people want is not only scrumptious but healthy food along with some unique handcrafted bar drinks and cocktails. There is a demand and hunger for something unique and different on the table rather than the basics that you have been seeing for a long time. People are in love with eateries that have something specialised, unique and different to offer.

- Since the restaurant has been taken over Tamasha, what difference they have brought in with Diablo?
(Tamasha was not owned by me so would rather not comment directly) Diablo is a modern interpretation of gothic design with contemporary middle-eastern , Asian and modern Indian cuisines comprising a premium curation of handcrafted concoctions and scrumptious food with a devilish twist. Diablo is a high energy restro bar that aims to provide the most amazing experience to everyone coming in . It is what people want it to be . It’s a restaurant it’s a bar it’s a party place it’s a brunch place its your go to date pace it’s a social hangout place. You get everything together in the best possible way.
- Can you give us some insights on Diablo’s growth?
Diablo has been very warmly accepted by Mumbai since the start and we are always thankful for the love we have received for the brand. Being a Covid pandemic product with the launch done during pandemic it faced a lot of challenges with everything so unstable but diablo outshined in its qualities and did make people fall in love with the place and soon expanding to Indore and other cities. With the success of diablo we shall be bringing two new brands this year in Mumbai – a niche one of a kind night club AttaBoy and a culinary gem restaurant inter-urban both with an aim to take the food and beverage experience of guests to another level.

He is also coming up with a couple of more resto bars in the hearty Bandra suburban region right after the success of Diablo and plans on expanding the presence of ship consultantancy firm in Europe.
