Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott International, expanded its portfolio in India with the opening of the Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa. This contemporary palace style resort is carved out of golden sand stone and is situated 3.3 km away from the Jaisalmer Railway Station, and is 284 kilometers from Jodhpur airport.
The property offers 135 rooms with nine suites featuring views of the Jaisalmer Fort and a central oasis. Each room is equipped with deluxe bedding, marble bathrooms, state-of-the-art luxury amenities and premium satellite channels on the 42-inch LED TV. The resort also offers mobile check-in/check-out to ensure that guests have a seamless experience at the resort. This application enables Marriott Rewards guests to check-in to their upcoming reservation up to 24 hours in advance, select an estimated arrival time, receive a room-ready alert notification from the hotel, and check out through their mobile device as well.

The resort offers 3251 square meters of outdoor that can accommodate up to 1,500 guests, making it an ideal destination for weddings and socials events. It also has an additional 577 square meters of indoor events space that includes three meeting rooms along with the Grand Ballroom.
Rahul Maini, GM of Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa said that resort offered four specialty restaurants – Jaisalmer Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant with buffet and a la carte selection, Dunes Bar transitional bar with cozy cabana seating, Wyra rooftop restaurant and lounge and The Mithai Company, which is the resort’s unique take on the traditional Indian sweets and savories, along with a selection of artisanal teas and coffees.
