Hyatt Regency Chandigarh has appointed Kedar Bobde as the new executive chef. Bringing over 27 years of experience with various hotel and restaurant brands, he would be responsible for the hotel’s food production and culinary teams.

With his roots in Mumbai, Bobde’s professional journey gave him opportunities to work with culinary stalwarts like Chef I. Qureshi, II Michelin star Chef Massimilliano ‘Max’ Milleri, and Chef Jean Christophe Fieschi. He has worked with the top hospitality brands such as The Leela Kempinski, Jumeirah – Emirates Tower, Le Royal Meridien, InterContinental deGustibus Hospitality, and Hyatt hotels where his learning continues. During his tenure leading the team at Indigo restaurants, his restaurant was ranked as the 5th best restaurant in Western India in the ‘World on a Plate’ competition.

On his new assignment at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, he said, “I am really delighted and eager to be in this city of India, and Hyatt is undoubtedly our extended family, where we all support and encourage one another to develop and flourish. I am confident that working in a team led by a seasoned hotelier like Ashwini Kumar would be a fantastic learning opportunity.”

In his new role as the executive chef at Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, he is responsible for the culinary operations of the hotel. This includes the banquet spaces, outdoor events, in-room dining, Hyatt at home, and award-winning restaurants Urban Cafe, Shichang and Piccante.
