In a bid to expand its market presence, global hospitality giant Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to set up three new properties, including one in the Indian capital, under its ‘Andaz’ brand of hotels.
These planned properties, situated in prime urban and resort locations, will be the latest additions to the expanding Andaz brand, which is only three years old, and already has 11 properties in six countries.
Personal and uncomplicated, ‘Andaz’ is a new hotel experience that blends fresh, engaging hospitality with stylish, vibrant settings, created with simplicity and locality in mind. Additionally, the property also aims to offer several options for events and meetings, including five Andaz Stuios, two trellised courtyards, an event gallery, and a studio display kitchen area.
Slated to open in 2013, Andaz Delhi, will be a 323-room hotel with an additional 118 Andaz-branded apartments. To be developed by Juniper Hotels Private Limited, the new property will be situated near Indira Gandhi International Airport and close to Delhi`s emerging Central Business District and the latest commercial hubs of Gurgoan and South Delhi.
The hotel aims to feature a variety of amenities including a lounge, theme bar, two restaurants, spa, and fitness center. Additionally, the property will offer a 7,000-square-foot ballroom and seven meeting rooms.
The project would be the first Andaz property planned in India. Incidentally, Hyatt has already announced plans to expand into 15 new Indian markets over the next five years, with new properties coming up in Goa, Kolkata and Mumbai.
