7300 hotel rooms ready for CWG

With Commonwealth Games (CWG) games just around the corner, about 7,300 hotel rooms are ready in Haryana for the upcoming games.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon Rajender Kataria, the number of hotel rooms in Haryana is likely to increase up to 7,500 by the time the games commence.

Tax concession would be extended to one-starred to four-star hotels, which would be ready by July 31, 2010 as per the decision taken by the Government of India. This concession would continue during the next five years.

About one lakh tourists and sportspersons are expected to come during the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi in October.
