England team robbed at luxury hotel

After an embarrasing 4-1 loss to Germany, the England team was further injured by a robbery at their luxury hotel in Rustenburg. The team was staying at the Royal Marang Hotel.

Five employees of the hotel have been convicted of stealing money, jerseys and a FIFA gold medal from the team.

After the hotel complained to the police that the items were going missing from the team’s rooms, police searched the five employees’ homes and discovered the stolen items.

Among other things, a FIFA gold medal belonging to one of the players, souvenir jerseys and some cash was stolen from the players’ room.

The four men and one woman found guilty will be sentenced to either three years in jail or a 6,000 rands fine (800 dollars, 640 euros). All stolen items have been returned to the team.
