JW Marriott Mumbai to host Hotelier Grand Jury

The JW Marriott Mumbai has been chosen from a list of top hotels in the city to be the Hotelier India Awards 2010 preferred Grand Jury host hotel.

The Jury Meet, which will be held on November 22, will see a hand-picked panel of 11 veterans from the Indian hospitality industry pick out the final Hotelier Award winners.

The Hotelier India Awards 2010, now only in its second year, has already become one of the most coveted hospitality awards in the country, last year having attracted more than 350 top hoteliers from GMs and CEOs to chefs and managers of hotels.

The Award will be held on December 16 at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, on the last night of the HOSI conference.
The nomination deadline has been extended to November 15.

Commenting on why The JW Marriott was chosen as a partner for the awards, ITP Publishing India Group Editor Conrad Egbert said, “We were looking for a very relaxed and informal setting for the Jury to meet and the JW Marriott Mumbai seemed to be ideal, firstly because it is centrally located and secondly it overlooks the sea, which offers a sort of calm that would make for a better judging environment. Judging can be a very stressful process and so we wanted to counter that as far as possible.”

JW Marriott general manager Guy Godet added, “We are delighted to host the Grand Jury for the Hotelier India Awards. It is our honour and privilege and we look forward to making the experience a stress-free and smooth process for all judges, so that the best results are achieved.”
