For Sony, India is among the top five countries in terms of contribution to global sales. Sony Corporation considers it an important market and has introduced premium state-of-the-art products. For Sony, television remains a key segment and contributes more than half of the business. Sony has also introduced mirrorless technology. Premium products across different categories (television, sound, digital imaging etc.) contribute about 20-25 per cent to the revenue in India. In the next two years, Sony expects the share (from premium products across categories) would be around 30-35 per cent.
