InterContinental adds 54 hotels to pipeline

InterContinental Hotels has reported another successful period for hotel signings, adding a further 54 hotels to its European pipeline in the year from June 2010 to May 2011.

The 7,874 rooms are spread across the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Kirk Kinsell, president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, IHG said, “Signing a further 54 properties, is testament to the strength of our brands and reflects our commitment to growth in Europe. These new additions mean IHG continues to hold the position of being the hospitality industry’s largest development pipeline with 1,236 hotels worldwide.”
