Akasa Air announced a significant expansion of its network and capacity as part of its Summer 2026 schedule, further strengthening its position as a key player in the Indian aviation landscape.
Compared to Summer 2025, the airline will record a 22% year-on-year increase in departures and a 37% year-on-year rise in Available Seat Kilometres (ASKm) [a measure of how much passenger-carrying capacity the airline is offering], reflecting its disciplined approach to capacity deployment.
Strengthening network balance and connectivity
This network expansion represents a 6% increase in departures and a 9% rise in ASKm compared to the winter schedule.

Regional network highlights
West India:
Akasa Air is expanding operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport with new Lucknow services (2x daily) and increased Varanasi frequency (2x daily), strengthening links between western and key domestic markets.
North India:
In Delhi, departures will rise 50% year-on-year, with increased frequencies on the Delhi–Mumbai route to 5x daily, reflecting sustained demand.
East India:
A new Navi Mumbai–Kolkata route (1x daily) will be introduced. Departures from Kolkata will grow 22% year-on-year and 6% over the winter schedule.
South India:
From Bengaluru, Akasa Air will add a daily service to Darbhanga and increase frequency to Bhubaneswar, enhancing east–south connectivity.
