Concept and inspiration

Meaning “Rare Pearl”, Zhēn Zhū draws a natural connection between Asian heritage and the luminous beauty of its surroundings. Conceived as a refined and contemporary dining destination, the restaurant reflects a thoughtful balance of authenticity, precision and quiet sophistication, offering an experience that is both culturally rooted and distinctly modern.

Culinary experience

Located within the City Palace at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, Zhēn Zhū offers a pan-Asian menu spanning China, Japan, Thailand and Southeast Asia. The menu focuses on ingredient-led cooking and balanced techniques, featuring dishes such as dim sum, small plates, seafood mains, and regional curries served with jasmine rice.

Design and ambience

The design draws from the stillness of Lake Pichola and the palace’s architecture, combining subtle Asian motifs, layered textures and a restrained palette. The space balances contemporary elements with heritage character, creating a calm and composed setting.
