The Serai Resorts announces the appointment of Saibal Sen as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Sen will oversee day-to-day operations, lead strategic initiatives, and support the brand’s expansion and long-term growth plans. He will report to Malavika Hegde, Chairperson, and M. Venkatesh, Director, The Serai Resorts.

Sen brings extensive experience in hotel operations, asset management, and business development, with a proven track record of driving profitability, enhancing operational efficiencies, strengthening asset-owner relationships, and leading high-impact sales and marketing initiatives. Widely regarded as a seasoned hospitality leader, he has consistently delivered sustained business growth while aligning operational performance with stakeholder objectives.

Professional background
Prior to joining The Serai Resorts, Sen most recently served as Vice President – Operations at Evolve Back Resorts. His career spans senior leadership and general management roles across some of India’s most respected hospitality brands. He began his professional journey with the Taj Group and has also held key roles with the erstwhile Starwood Group and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Sen is a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai.
