Edrington announced the appointment of Paul Ross as Chief Operating Officer of Edrington India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of the world’s most dynamic and strategically important spirits markets.
Driving Growth for Ultra-Premium Brands
As Edrington expands its ultra-premium portfolio led by The Macallan, Paul Ross will head India operations, driving growth for The Macallan and Highland Park from the company’s Gurgaon base.
His appointment follows the UK-India trade deal reducing Scotch import tariffs and signals Edrington’s confidence in India’s rising demand for premium, craft-led spirits.
Three Decades of Global Experience
Ross brings more than three decades of leadership experience with Edrington, having held senior roles across key international markets. From opening the first international office in Hong Kong to shaping the success of Edrington’s Americas business, his leadership has consistently helped break new ground. Most recently, as Chief Executive Officer, Edrington Americas, he accelerated the growth of The Macallan in the USA, the world’s largest market for premium spirits.

With an academic foundation in Accountancy and Business Law from the University of Glasgow and further executive education from Hult Ashridge and INSEAD, Mr. Ross brings strong commercial insight and strategic acumen.

As Chief Operating Officer, India, Ross will focus on strengthening local capabilities, embedding Edrington’s distinctive culture and values, and building a resilient platform for responsible, long-term growth. He will also serve as a senior ambassador for The Macallan and Highland Park in India, engaging with industry partners, customers, and key stakeholders.
