Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel introduces its revamped Lobby and R Bar re-designed through layered renaissance influences, metallic detailing, and blue accents that echo classical palettes. The revival work, which drew an excellent parallel between races and derby, not only included these aspects but also incorporated the art and vibrant colours of Karnataka, combining, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury in a way that is both refreshing and distinctly Renaissance.
A lobby rooted in equestrian design and Karnataka’s craft traditions
The refurbished lobby captures attention with equestrian-inspired décor—bright jockey colours, bold stripes and the dynamism of the racetrack. Floor stripes enhance the sense of motion, while a rug-style artwork nods to Navalgund’s renowned handmade rug tradition. Signature blue tones paired with silver-grey give the space a refined, sophisticated finish.
Design details inspired by jockey gear and local craftsmanship
Metal detailing on the reception counter, navigators’ table and wall panels echoes jockey gear, while anti-glass finishes add a fresh tactile touch. Leather accents on sofas and chairs subtly extend the racecourse theme.
Chennapatna-inspired elements bring local craft into focus—the communal table rests on toy-like legs in bold red, orange and blue, complemented by handcrafted décor. Together, these details create a space vibrant with colour, culture and movement.
A refreshed R Bar with global influences and local inspiration
The R Bar, just off the Lobby, blends warmth with contemporary flair, marked by its polo-helmet–inspired dome and glowing back bar. With seating for 48, including alfresco spots, it’s ideal for relaxed afternoons or vibrant evenings. The menu features race-inspired mocktails, classic and city-style cocktails, craft beer, and wines, paired with refined dishes like Crab Brûlée, Lamb Pie, Confit Chicken, and artisanal grazing boards, plus a refreshed dessert selection.
Leadership insight
On the occasion of the unveiling of the lobby and R Bar, Sita Lekshmi, GM, Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, said: “The renewed Lobby and R Bar embody our commitment to inspired, purposeful spaces.
