Ananta Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of Rupam Das as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Ananta Global Hotels. With almost 3 decades of extensive leadership across operations, acquisitions and business development in India’s premier hospitality groups, Das brings a strategic and growth-focused vision to Ananta’s next phase of evolution.

Role & Responsibilities

In his new role, Das will be responsible for overseeing operations across Ananta’s expanding portfolio, while leading strategic global expansion initiatives across the group’s four core verticals: eco-luxury resorts, wildlife lodges, wellness sanctuaries, culturally immersive retreats and business hotels in tier-I, tier-II and tier-III cities.

As part of Ananta’s aggressive growth roadmap, he will also helm the brand’s ambition to launch 50 new properties globally over the next five years. He will be closely involved in overall operations and global expansion, working hand in hand with the brand’s investors and promoters to ensure their engagement and shared value in the journey ahead.

Leadership Remarks

“Ananta represents a commitment to authentic luxury, nature-inspired design and timeless elegance,” said Rupam Das, Chief Operations Officer. “It is an honour to join at this pivotal juncture. My primary focus will be on establishing scalable operational frameworks, entering high-potential markets, and cultivating long-term strategic alliances that uphold Ananta’s service standards and sustainability ethos. Together with our promoters and dedicated professional team, we will build a global footprint anchored in Indian hospitality excellence.”

Professional Background

Prior to joining Ananta, Das served as Senior Director of Business Development at The Clarks Hotels & Resorts for almost one and a half decade, where he led a portfolio of over 100 hotels across India and South East Asia. His earlier leadership roles at ITC Hotels, Cambay Group and Panoramic Resorts showcased his prowess in pre-openings, hotel turnarounds, deal structuring and revenue optimization, always with a guest-centric approach.

Known for his inclusive leadership and operational precision, Das will work closely with the Goyal family and senior leadership to ensure Ananta’s future growth is grounded in excellence, innovation and holistic guest experiences.
