The Great Wall, the Chinese specialty restaurant at The Leela Mumbai has included new dishes to its menu, which will feature an array of vegetarianand non-vegetarian dishes. The appetisers will include a mix of local favourites like Pomfret with Bird Eye Chili Sauce, Spinach Coated Green Prawns, Five Spice Chinese Barbeque Pork Spare Ribs, Wok fried Sichuan prawns, Bean Curd Sesame Toast, Cold Spinach with Mustard Sesame Sauce, Onion Pancake, Aubergine in hot bean sauce, while the main menu feature options like Singapore Chili Crab, Hokkaido Scallops with Asparagus and Ponzu Butter, Wok Fried Tenderloin with Black Pepper and Garlic, Singapore Style Black Pepper Crab, Steamed fillet of Pomfret with Yellow Bean and Red Chili or black bean sauce, Prawns in Hong Kong XO Sauce, Stir fried Chicken with Chili and spring onion, Singapore Chili Prawns, Wild Mushrooms in Clay Pot, Wok fried greens with water chestnut, bamboo shoot, shiitake in ponzu sauce, Truffle Flavored Treasure Rice with Mushrooms, etc. Guests can end their meal with the Chef’s Special Gula Melaka.
Speaking on the launch of this new menu, Chef Surender Mohan, head of kitchen at The Leela Mumbai said “In our endeavor to bring the best Chinese food to town, we have focused on the use of fresh ingredients and flavours along with traditional cooking techniques.”
