The second edition of the Le Concours de l’Inde des Jeunes Chefs Rotisseurs 2015 (JCR), a culinary competition by international gastronomic society La Chaine des Rotisseurs was held at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru. The JCR is open internationally to all 84 member countries of La Chaine to participate in. The winner of each regional contest is eligible to participate in the grand finale, held each year with much fanfare and worldwide recognition.
In this, young chefs under the age of 27 get an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills and compete against their peers. “For the winner, it will be a life-altering experience,” said Marie Jones, international VP, la Chaine des Rotisseurs, Paris headquarters. Ten competitors took part in this event from the top hotels and restaurants in Bengaluru.
The winner will travel to Budapest in September to compete against winners from other members countries. The team of kitchen judges were all Chaine members and professional chefs of note.
