TGB Surat to be largest 5-Star property in Gujarat

The Grand Bhagwati Hotels (TGB) will unveil 5-star deluxe hotel in Surat which is poised to be the largest 5-star deluxe property in Gujarat.

With an investment of Rs200 crore the property is built on an area of 6, 00,000 lakh square feet. It will be operational from July 2010.

Announcing its launch Narendra Somani, CMD, TGB Group says, “Surat being the diamond and textile hub of India has huge in flow of business and leisure tourists from across the world. With the launch of TGB Surat we wish to give guests impart an exhilarating experience with unmatched comfort to our guests”.

Located on Dumas Road, this luxury hotel is well connected by air, rail and road. The hotel will have well–furnished 162 deluxe rooms and eight extravagant suites.

It also boasts of India’s largest convention centre with more than 1 lakh square feet of pillar-less convention space, ballrooms, banquets, decorated conference rooms, manicured lawns, multi cuisine restaurants and an elite club.

Interestingly, TGB Surat will be the first pure vegetarian 5 star deluxe hotel in the world. It strives to rule the roost on the F&B front. This unique revenue model is not just a differentiator but will also help them sail through tough competition from international hotel brands. “While in most hotels, 75% of revenue is generated through rooms and 25% through F&B, it is just reverse for us. We get close to 75% revenue from food business”, adds Somani.

TGB group plans massive expansion across India with more properties planned in Vadodara, Nagpur, Pune, Hyderabad, Indore, Nadiad, Mumbai and Bangalore.
