The Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, will be the host hotel for the inaugural Hotelier India Awards 2009, presented by Grohe.
The awards, scheduled for the evening of December 16 is in the hotel’s largest function room, the Ballroom, and will be its main event for the day.
“We are happy to host the awards because it is an evening for our peers, and for the good of the industry. It will be a pleasure to cater to the best of Indian hospitality,” said Rohit Khosla, general manager, Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
The hotel is working on an entirely new banquet concept in keeping with the award’s overall theme of innovation. “These are cost sensitive times, though we will still provide the best because we are the Taj. Our industry expects no less. So you can be sure of a lot of out-of-the-box thinking,” said Khosla.
“The Taj Lands Mumbai will surely live up to all expectations, especially since this is an industry event. It is a great hotel and we are delighted to have it host the awards,” said S Saikumar, deputy managing director, ITP Publishing India.
