Every year in the 1st week of June, Hotel Marine Plaza celebrates ‘World Environment week’ with full enthusiasm. This day is celebrated globally on 5th June to raise awareness to take positive environmental action to protect planet Earth as part of an initiative by the United Nations EnvironmentProgramme (UNEP).
Sanjeev Shekhar, GM of Hotel Marine Plaza said, “Every year, we pledge to strive towards ensuring a better tomorrow for our future generations by participating in this week-long activity.”
Different endeavours are planned during this week for the hotel’s employees including a drawing competition where all HODs encourage their team to participate prepare poster with environment-related topics to display their creativity. A cleanliness drive will be held with the aim to address issues like clean, green and healthy environment. A quiz on environmental topics will be held to create awareness and understand how much the staff knows about this subject. The staff will also participate in a plantation drive and guests will be gifted saplings on 5th June 2017 to make them aware on the need to increase the green cover in the city.
