Shifting traveler demands could provide an opportunity for airlines

Increased health and safety procedures will be at the forefront of customer expectations and it has been suggested that a new ‘Gen-C’ tourist will emerge from the pandemic. This tourist will not be defined by traditional demographics, but a need for reassurances around health and safety. Airlines that can tap into this market will be most likely to experience a stronger recovery than their competitors.

Asia-Pacific deal volume in October above Q1 and Q2 monthly average but below Q3, finds GlobalData

An analysis of GlobalData’s Financial Deals Database reveals that a total of 1,888 deals were announced in APAC during October 2020, a decline of 13.2% over the 2,176 deals announced during the previous month.
However, deal volume during the month remained above the first quarter (Q1) and second quarter (Q2) monthly average levels but lower than the third quarter (Q3) monthly average levels.
