HVAC solutions provider Desiccant Rotors International (DRI) has launched the DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air System) technology with its Ultima series. The new series has a highly energy efficient ventilation system to deliver conditioned fresh air.
The technology supplies air at perfectly controlled temperature and dew point, irrespective of outdoor ambient conditions, which enables decoupling of internal building loads and external loads.
“The Ultima series enable delivery of conditioned fresh air in a very energy efficient manner, all year round. For green buildings, this system can assist in scoring substantial LEED points in conjunction with systems like chilled beams,” the company said.
The micro-processor controlled system can be connected with the Building Management System (BMS) through suitable communication protocol. It is well suited to a wide array of applications in large commercial spaces such as hotels, hospitals, supermarkets, auditoriums and corporate offices.
