Global tech firm Bosch has introduced a new discussion system. The CCS 900 Ultro has advanced design features which gives a visual indication of when the microphone is available for a delegate to take the floor.
The company says the technology employs its proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) functions to balance sound pressure levels and system gain above normal feedback limits.
Users can increase the volume to higher-than-normal levels without generating feedback or making the microphone howl.
“The system is targeted primarily at small-to-medium sized meeting areas such as conference rooms, town halls, business centres, and courtrooms. It has a host of design features that make it easy to manage meetings, including an advanced ‘Possible-To-Speak’ function and mp3 recording,” said Ajay Sahney, head Bosch Security Systems, India.
With this new all-in-one system, users can listen to proceedings and participate directly in discussions. Designed and developed by Bosch experts in Europe, the system makes it easy to manage meetings and lets users record the proceedings digitally, via mp3.
The control unit (CU) can record and play back up to 64-hours of discussion using a 2GB SD card. It also features a 60-second buffer enabling the SD card to be changed when full, to allow recording to continue without losing any data.
During meetings, one-to-four microphones can be active simultaneously, with the key person always having speaker priority. Unused microphones are switched off automatically if delegates forget to switch off their units.
Bosch says the system has been designed for future expansion with the possibility of adding a wide range of additional equipment and auxiliary components, including an interpretation system, language distribution, public address system and an interface for tele/video conferencing.
Since it’s a plug-and-play, all-in-one discussion solution, the CCS 900 Ultro requires no special training or operator.
Targetted towards the high-end segment, Bosch CCS 900 Ultro is effective for hotels who want to offer really good quality discussion system for their international and important delegates.
