Diageo Reserve World Class 2021 is all set to identify India’s best bartender from hundreds of participants across the country.
After successful competition of the virtual and cocktail festival round, World Class India has narrowed the field down to the Top 12 finalists who will put their best foot forward for the coveted title at the National Finals in Delhi on 26th April 2021.
Each of the bartenders were judged on a broad range of skills, showcasing their understanding of spirits through beautiful mixes, presentation, and storytelling.
The participants effectively scored on their knowledge, bartending technique, creativity, and their ability to work under pressure.
Coming in from various parts of the country, all finalists exhibited cutting-edge novel innovations in their cocktail recipes and displayed excellent skill in the craft of mixology.
The top 12 finalists’ possess the knowledge and skills to ensure Indian hospitality stands out on the Global stage.
Talking about the competition Evonne Eadie, Diageo National Reserve Brand Ambassador said “The mixologists this year have set the standard exceptionally high, and it has been a real privilege to be part of a platform that highlights these talented individuals. When it comes to a World Class bartender, there is so much more than just the cocktail recipe. It is about creativity, understanding of flavor, hospitality, storytelling, and technique, all rolled into one. With the finals coming up, I can’t wait to see what the Top 12 have in store for the community.”
All the cocktails made through the competition were made using premium brands such as Johnnie Walker, Tanqueray No.10, Ketel One, The Singleton and Talisker 10 YO.
The World Class India finalist will take on the world’s best bartenders at the Diageo World Class Competition, to be held in Madrid this July.
