In light of the heightened hygiene and sanitation protocols followed by most restaurants and hotels, Sippline has launched a sterilised shield designed to sit on the rim of any glass or cup. This prevents the glassware from coming into direct contact with a person’s lips, thus eliminating the potential threat to cross-contamination.
Sippline claims that this is the world’s first patented drinking tool to offer a sterile, clean drinking surface, irrespective of the choice of a user’s beverage in a public environment. It is made of food-grade polymer and lines the rim without compromising the drinking experience. It is recyclable, odourless and dishwasher-friendly.
Speaking about product, Rohit Warrier, CEO and Founder of Warrier Safe Shields and inventor of Sippline said, “The recent rise in the COVID-19 cases can be traced to the ignorance and negligence of hygiene. While personal hygiene is often translated to wearing a mask, sanitising regularly and social distancing, a key aspect that is overlooked is oral hygiene. I believe Sippline adds a new dimension to personal hygiene and will change the way people enjoy a drink while dining out or travelling. ”
The company is currently doing trial runs of the product at F&B establishments in Mumbai and Pune. Sippline is available in multiple colours in packs of two, four and 10. Weighing less than 5 grams, it perfectly fits most glasses and cups including such a goblet, Tom Collins or Old Fashioned glass.
