R H Khwaja is the new Union Tourism Secretary

R H Khwaja, IAS (A.P.-76) has taken over as the Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

He succeeds Sujit Banerjee, IAS (U.P.-72), who retired on July 31, 2010 on superannuating.

Khwaja was earlier Special Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
